Elf on the shelf arrives

Elvis is in the building!

This morning Big Girl and Little Boy woke up to find a parcel from Father Christmas. Yes, the Ellf on the Shelf has finally decided to visit our house! The decision was made to call him Elvis, and tonight we have to go online and register his name. Once registered, they receive an official adoption certificate and a special letter from Santa.  

For those of you not in the know, the parcel consists of an elf, you choose either a girl or a boy, and a story book to tell the children all about him/her. It explains that they must not touch the elf or he/she will lose their magic, but they can talk to them and tell them what they would like for Christmas. Each day, the elf goes back to Father Christmas to tell him if the children have been naughty or nice. When the children get up in the morning they have to find the elf. He may be doing something funny, something naughty, or may have brought a small gift with him. 

I'm hoping I can do a quick post every day and show you what Elvis has been up to.
